Constructivism and the Computer
Ha! That is my new motto, constructivism and my math class! I love it I feel like I am on the cutting edge of teaching practices. Students need to be focused and engaged in their learning. Many of our students are digital natives where I am a digital immigrant. My students have grown up with technology around them so they are not intimidated, but instead, enjoy using it in the classroom. I am using technology in the classroom to enhance the student learning of the fraction curriculum.

I am trying to use a lot more technology in my room too. Technology is definitely the wave of the future. I especially feel that its needed for SEI classrooms, and my district does not see it that way. I am trying to keep up technology by learning on the MAC and knowing all about WEB 2.0, but my district and school is falling way behind. As a technology student, I will have to be a leader and show my district how important it is.
